Unlike the Mahabharata, Ramayanan also holds a lot of value for life and spirituality. 

Let's us try to have some insight with the sacred Mantra "Naam-Ramayan."

The NAAM Ramayan — An Overview

In the ancient days, the sages used to write each of the sacred event of God in various part, the same way the Ramayanam Epic has also been divided into 7 parts which is known as Kaandas,

1) Baala kaanda, 

2) Ayodhya kaanda, 

3) Aranya kaanda, 

4) Kishkinda kaanda, 

5) Sundara kaanda, 

6) Yudha kaanda, and 

7) Uttara kaanda. 

Each of these Kaanda's describes the every event that has been marked in Lord Ram's life in detail.

Even the "NAAM RAMAYANAM" written by Oriya Bhakta Ramadas has also been divided into the set of 7 parts provided with the same name to be notified in future.

Let's get into the real understanding of what does all these Kaanda's explains us when it comes to the events look place in Lord SRIRAM's Life

1) A detailed view of the Lord SRIRAM's Life,

In these chapters, Maharishi Valmiki explains the highly divine qualities of Rama in the best simple language that anybody can recite within a very short span. It is also believed that the Ramayan contain the same power as of chanting Vedas. Henceforth, instead of reading Ramayana, the longest version, one can read these NAAMA RAMAYAN, and obtain the divine blessing easily. 

Let's get into the description of each version of NAAM RAMAYAN

 

1) ॥ बालकाण्डम् ॥ शुद्धब्रह्मपरात्पर राम् ॥१॥

You can take refuge in Sri Rama charana, the form of pure Brahma, the superior to the Best

2) कालात्मकपरमेश्वर राम् ॥२॥ 

Ram is the Nature of Kala, the one who has mastered everyone's Destiny, and the Supreme Lord (Parameshwara). 

3) शेषतल्पसुखनिद्रित राम् ॥३॥ 

The one who sleeps Blissfully on the Bed of Serpent Sesha Naga, is named as Lord Vishnu.

4) ब्रह्माद्यामरप्रार्थित राम् ॥४॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama's kamal charana.Yes, the one who has been incarnated as the son of king Dasharatha for eliminating Ravana upon the request of the Devas starting with Brahma

5) चण्डकिरणकुलमण्डन राम् ॥५॥ 

He is the one  who adorned the Dynasty of Sun ( the Surya Vamsha).

6) श्रीमद्दशरथनन्दन राम् ॥६॥ 

I am here to take the Refuge in Sri Rama's charana,

the one who is the Illustrious Son of King Dasaratha. 

7) कौसल्यासुखवर्धन राम् ॥७॥ 

Rama, the one who brought emense note of Joy to Mata Kaushalya. 

8) विश्वामित्रप्रियधन राम् ॥८॥ 

He who is too dear to the Sage Vishwamitra and been treated by him like a precious treasure. 

9) घोरताटकाघातक राम् ॥९॥ 

Ram who is the Slayer of the Terrible Demoness Tataka.

10) मारीचादिनिपातक राम् ॥१०॥ 

He is the one who brought the Downfall of Demon Marica and Others to the end of life and created the history.

11) कौशिकमखसंरक्षक राम् ॥११॥ 

Who is the savior and the protector of the Yajna of Sage Vishwamitra.

12) श्रीमदहल्योद्धारक राम् ॥१२॥ 

Here I take the Refuge in Sri Rama, who is there to get me the Venerable Ahalya. 

जिन्होंने अहिल्या को राम के समक्ष स्व-रूप में वापस लाने में मदद की, जिन्हें ऋषि गौतम ने राम को बहुत सम्मानित किया, जिनकी देवताओं और महान संतों ने श्री राम की प्रशंसा की।

13) गौतममुनिसंपूजित राम् ॥१३॥ 

He is the one who is always been greatly Honoured by Sage Gautama. 

14) सुरमुनिवरगणसंस्तुत राम् ॥१४॥ 

Praised by the Devas and all the Best of Sages. 

15) नाविकधावितमृदुपद राम् ॥१५॥ 

Whose Gentle Feet were washed by the Boatman (Kewat).

16) मिथिलापुरजनमोहक राम् ॥१६॥

Here I am to take Refuge in my Lord Sri Rama charna, the one who mesmerized the people of Mithila.

17) विदेहमानसरञ्जक राम् ॥१७॥ 

He is the one who built the great Honour of King Janaka.

18) त्र्यंबककार्मुकभञ्जक राम् ॥१८॥

The one who Broke the Bow of the Three-Eyed Shiva to marry Mata Sita.

19) सीतार्पितवरमालिक राम् ॥१९॥ 

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama,

the one with whom Devi Sita Offered the Garland during Bridegroom selection. 

20) कृतवैवाहिककौतुक राम् ॥२०॥ 

Who did a lot on arranging for the festive during his Marriage. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

21) भार्गवदर्पविनाशक राम् ॥२१॥ 

Here, I am to take Refuge in my Lord Sri Rama,

the soul destroyer of Pride that has been built in his Sage Sri Parashurama. 

22) श्रीमदयोध्यापालक राम् ॥२२॥ 

The one who is the Illustrious King of Ayodhya.

॥ अयोध्याकाण्डम् ॥ I am here to take Refuge in my Sri Rama charana,

23) अगणितगुणगणभूषित राम् ॥२३॥ 

The one who is Adorned with Innumerable Virtues. 

24) अवनीतनयाकामित राम् ॥२४॥ 

who has been loved and desired to be married by the Daughter of the Earth.

25) राकाचन्द्रसमानन राम् ॥२५॥ 

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama charna, who has a beautiful face just like the Full Moon.

26) पितृवाक्याश्रितकानन राम् ॥२६॥ 

The most obedient son, who went to the Forest upon the instructions of his Father. 

27) प्रियगुहविनिवेदितपद राम् ॥२७॥ 

The one on whose feet Guha Offered himself as a Dear Servant.

28) तत्क्षालितनिजमृदुपद राम् ॥२८॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in the charna of that Lord Sri Rama whose Gentle Feets were washed by Guha.

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

29) भरद्वाजमुखानन्दक राम् ॥२९॥ 

The one who gave a prideful shine with a Face of joy to Sage Bharatwaja.

30) चित्रकूटाद्रिनिकेतन राम् ॥३०॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, who transformed the huge Chitrakuta Mountain as His Habitat. 

31) दशरथसन्ततचिन्तित राम् ॥३१॥ 

The one who is very generous to have a continuous thoughts of His Father Dasaratha during His Exile in the Forest. 

32) कैकेयीतनयार्थित राम् ॥३२॥ 

who had been earnestly requested by Bharata, the Son of Kaikeyi, to make a return to his Kingdom to set Ramraj.

33) विरचितनिजपितृकर्मक राम् ॥३३॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who performed the Last Rites of His Father even when he was in the forest. 

34) भरतार्पितनिजपादुक राम् ॥३४॥ 

The one who gave His Padukas, the wooden sandal, to Bharata in his absence.

35) ॥ अरण्यकाण्डम् ॥ दण्डकवनजनपावन राम् ॥३५॥

Here I am to take Refuge in that Lord Sri Rama charna, who purifies the Environment of the Dandakaranya Forest simply by slaying the demons.

 

36) दुष्टविराधविनाशन राम् ॥३६॥ 

The one who destroyed the Wicked Demon Viradha and saved people and sages. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

37) शरभङ्गसुतीक्ष्णार्चित राम् ॥३७॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in My Lord Sri Rama, who is always been worshipped by Sage Sarabhanga and Sage Sutheekshana from their deepest soul.

38) अगस्त्यानुग्रहवर्धित राम् ॥३८॥ 

The one who is blessed with the divine blessings of Sage Agastya. 

39) गृध्राधिपसंसेवित राम् ॥३९॥ 

Who is been severed by the King of Vultures (Jatayu).

40) पञ्चवटीतटसुस्थित राम् ॥४०॥ 

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna, who observes at the Bank of the River at Panchavati. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

41) शूर्पणखार्तिविधायक राम् ॥४१॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama charna, the one who felt grief at the beginning yet enjoined the Pain on Surpanakha when he came to know of her wicked intentions. 

42) खरदूषणमुखसूदक राम् ॥४२॥ 

The one who destroyed the existence of powerful demons Khara and Dushana from the World. 

43) सीताप्रियहरिणानुग राम् ॥४३॥ 

Who went after the deer, which was desired by Devi Sita.

44) मारीचार्तिकृदाशुग राम् ॥४४॥ 

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna, the one who caused pain on Marica with His sharp arrow for his (Marica's) wrong deed. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

45) विनष्टसीतान्वेषक राम् ॥४५॥

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama charna, the one who searched for the Lost Sita earnestly. 

46) गृध्राधिपगतिदायक राम् ॥४६॥ 

Who grant liberation to the King of Vultures (Jatayu).

47) शबरीदत्तफलाशन राम् ॥४७॥ 

Who ate the picking fruits of Shabari when offered by her with love and devotion.

48) कबन्धबाहुच्छेदक राम् ॥४८॥

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama, who cutted-off the Arms of Kabandha. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

49) ॥ किष्किन्धाकाण्डम् ॥ हनुमत्सेवितनिजपद राम् ॥४९॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one whose Feet were served by Lord Hanuman. 

50) नतसुग्रीवाभीष्टद राम् ॥५०॥ 

Who bless the soulful wish of Sugriva when he bowed to Lord Ram with the sense of complete Surrender. 

51) गर्वितवालिसंहारक राम् ॥५१॥ 

The one who destroyed the cruel and proud Bali, the king of monkeys.

52) वानरदूतप्रेषक राम् ॥५२॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who sent a Monkey as Messenger (to Ravana) before the battle. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

53) हितकरलक्ष्मणसंयुत राम् ॥५३॥ 

The one who is always dear to Lakshmana, and stayed  united as he always served him earnestly.

54) ॥ सुन्दरकाण्डम् ॥ कपिवरसन्ततसंस्मृत राम् ॥५४॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who is always soulfully remembered and praised by Lord Hanuman, the powerful and obedient servent among the Monkeys. 

55) तद्‍गतिविघ्नध्वंसक राम् ॥५५॥ 

The one who removed all the obstacles that arises during the Movement of Hanuman. 

56) सीताप्राणाधारक राम् ॥५६॥ 

The one who always stayed supportive of the Life of Devi Sita. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

57) दुष्टदशाननदूषित राम् ॥५७॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna, the one who condemned the Wicked Ten-Headed Ravana and revived the dharma. 

58) शिष्टहनूमद्‍भूषित राम् ॥५८॥ 

Who never miss to adore the Wise and true devotee, the eminent Hanuman with Praises. 

59) सीतावेदितकाकावन राम् ॥५९॥ 

The one who heard of the Kakasura incident from Hanuman that happened in the forest.

60) कृतचूडामणिदर्शन राम् ॥६०॥

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna, the one who saw the Chudamani of Devi Sita when brough to him by his bhakta Hanuman. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

61) कपिवरवचनाश्वासित राम् ॥६१॥ 

The one who had always been comforted by the Words of Hanuman, the Most Excellent of Monkeys.

62) ॥ युध्दकाण्डम् ॥ रावणनिधनप्रस्थित राम् ॥६२॥

Iam here to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna, the one who set out for Destroying the demone Ravana.

63) वानरसैन्यसमावृत राम् ॥६३॥ 

The one who was always been surrounded by the Army of Monkeys. 

64) शोषितसरिदीशार्थित राम् ॥६४॥ 

The one who requested the King of Ocean to Give him the pathway for which he subsequently threatened him to get Dry.

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

65) विभीषणाभयदायक राम् ॥६५॥ 

Vibhiissanna-Abhaya-Daayaka Raam ||65|| 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who provided a deep assurance to Bibhisana of being Fearless while under his refuge. 

66) पर्वतसेतुनिबन्धक राम् ॥६६॥ 

The one who created a Bridge around the sea using the binding Rocks that floated on water.

67) कुम्भकर्णशिरच्छेदक राम् ॥६७॥ 

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who cutted-off the Head of Kumbhakarna in the Battle. 

68) राक्षससङ्घविमर्दक राम् ॥६८॥ 

Who badly crushed and destroyed the great army of Demons in the Ramayana Battle. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

69) अहिमहिरावणचारण राम् ॥६९॥ 

The one who destroyed Mahiravana making use of Hanuman, who created a trap to get them under in Patala Loka.

70) संहृतदशमुखरावण राम् ॥७०॥

I here by take the Refuge in Sri Rama charna, the one who destroyed the Ten-Faced Ravana in the Battle.

71) विधिभवमुखसुरसंस्तुत राम् ॥७१॥ 

The one who is always been praised by Trimurti's - Brahma, Shiva and other Devas. 

72) खस्थितदशरथवीक्षित राम् ॥७२॥ 

The one whose Divine deeds were always been watched by his late father King Dasaratha from Heaven.

 राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

73) सीतादर्शनमोदित राम् ॥७३॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who got extremly delightful when he saw Devi Sita after the Battle.

74) अभिषिक्तविभीषणनत राम् ॥७४॥ 

The one who is reverentially Saluted by Vibhisana, who has been coronated by Him. 

75) पुष्पकयानारोहण राम् ॥७५॥ 

The one who ascended the Pushpaka Vimana when he planned to go back to Ayodhya.

76) भरद्वाजादिनिषेवण राम् ॥७६॥

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama, who visited the Sage Bharadwaja and Other Sages after the battle. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

77) भरतप्राणप्रियकर राम् ॥७७॥ 

The one who brought an emense pleasure and Joy on the face of his brother Bharata upon his return to Ayodhya. 

78) साकेतपुरीभूषण राम् ॥७८॥ 

The one who spread the light of joy in the city of Ayodhya upon his return from Lanka after the battle.

79) सकलस्वीयसमानत राम् ॥७९॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who is so generous that he treat everyone with equality almost like his own people. 

80) रत्नलसत्पीठास्थित राम् ॥८०॥ 

The one who sat on the Throne studded with Shining Jewels. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम।

81) पट्टाभिषेकालंकृत राम् ॥८१॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, who has been  so adorned with the Royal Crown during his coronation ceremony. 

82) पार्थिवकुलसम्मानित राम् ॥८२॥ 

The onw who honoured the assembly of Kings in the most pleasant and humble way during his Coronation ceremoney. 

83) विभीषणार्पितरङ्गक राम् ॥८३॥ 

The one who offered the idol of Sri Ranganatha to Vibhisana during the Coronation ceremony.

84) कीशकुलानुग्रहकर राम् ॥८४॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who showered his Grace on the Sun Dynasty (Surya Vamsha).

 राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

85) सकलजीवसंरक्षक राम् ॥८५॥

He is the one, Who is considered to be the guardian and savior of mankind and all Living Beings. 

86) समस्तलोकाधारक राम् ॥८६॥ 

The one who is the great supporter of the World.

87) ॥ उत्तरकाण्डम् ॥ आगतमुनिगणसंस्तुत राम् ॥८७॥

Here I am to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who is  Praised by all the sages whoever visited him in his lifetime.

88) विश्रुतदशकण्ठोद्भव राम् ॥८८॥ 

The one who heard the origin (the story) of the Ten-Faced (Ravana), after becoming the King. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

89) सीतालिङ्गननिर्वृत राम् ॥८९॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama's charna,the one who always feels happy and satisfied when he was in the embrace of Devi Sita. 

90) नीतिसुरक्षितजनपद राम् ॥९०॥ 

The one who protected His Empire by Moral Precepts (Dharma). 

91) विपिनत्याजितजनकज राम् ॥९१॥ 

The one who abandoned Devi Sita (Born of Janaka) in the Forest.

92) कारितलवणासुरवध राम् ॥९२॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who caused the Killing of Demon Lavanasura by his brother Satrughna. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

93) स्वर्गतशम्बुकसंस्तुत राम् ॥९३॥ 

The one who is praised by Shambuka who went to Heaven when bless by the Lord Rama.

94) स्वतनयकुशलवनन्दित राम् ॥९४॥ 

The one who made his own children Lava and Kusha, the most happy one.

95) अश्वमेधक्रतुदीक्षित राम् ॥९५॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama charna, the one who had been initiated into the sacrifices of Ashwamedha. 

 

96) कालावेदितसुरपद राम् ॥९६॥ 

The one who was made to Know His Divine Position by Kala when His time to depart arrived. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

97) आयोध्यकजनमुक्तिद राम् ॥९७॥ 

The one who gave Liberation to the People of Ayodhya.

98) विधिमुखविबुधानन्दक राम् ॥९८॥ 

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who brought joy on the faces of Brahma and other Gods.

99) तेजोमयनिजरूपक राम् ॥९९॥ 

The one who assumed his Own Divine Form to shine with the Light of joy during His departure. 

100) संसृतिबन्धविमोचक राम् ॥१००॥ 

The one who is so powerful to releases oneself from the worldly bondage of Samsara i.e., the word of Maya - the attachments. 

राम् राम् जय राजा राम् । राम् राम् जय सीता राम् ।

101) धर्मस्थापनतत्पर राम् ॥१०१॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who is too much in love with the mankind that he was too eager to set Dharma in the World. 

102) भक्तिपरायणमुक्तिद राम् ॥१०२॥ 

He the one who provides liberation to people who devote themselves to them whole heartedly. 

103) सर्वचराचरपालक राम् ॥१०३॥ 

Who is the savior, the guardian of all moving and Non-Moving Beings that exist in the world. 

104) सर्वभवामयवारक राम् ॥१०४॥ 

Who has the power to prevent all the worldly diseases from His Devotees that arises with attachment.

105) वैकुण्ठालयसंस्थित राम् ॥१०५॥

I am here to take Refuge in Sri Rama, the one who has established himself in the Abode of Vaikunatha after His departure. 

106) नित्यानन्दपदस्थित राम् ॥१०६॥ 

The one who had been established in His original form of Divine Position with Eternal Bliss after His departure. 

107) राम् राम् जय जय राजा राम् ॥१०७॥
